Torana Column: Foreigners, Monkeys, Kapilvastu.
The architraves are supported by a dwarf(Yaksha) capital. View from inside.
The feminine form of the word "yaksha" is yakshi or yakshini.
A torana is a type of gateway seen in the Hindu and Buddhist architecture
of the Indian subcontinent.
